Character Name: Wraidd Cariad llygredig
Age: 28
How long They've Been in the Deck:
Wraidd has been in the deck for 28 years. She started as a lowly 2, but as soon as she turned fifteen, she quickly became known for challenging other cards. Her challenges were wicked, and a broken hearted heart… well you can see how that puts them quite out of commission. Like most hearts, she likes adoration (though on her own terms) so she has always been certain to charm her way into a circle of trusted friends who were always just slightly higher suit than she… oh who would be the sacrifice…

Suit/Rank: Hearts | Nine
History:
Wraidd was born to the deck. Both of her parents were hearts (her father never rising above an 8 of Hearts - working in suit relations - and her mother happy as a 3 of Hearts - working as a horticulturist). As such, she grew up spending much of her time in the Castle of Hearts, and lived in an above average townhouse on a close near The Four Suits. Wraidd enjoyed the pastimes of many. She enjoyed playing on the green and spending time with her friends. Much time was spent on her appearance and from a very early age, Wraidd learned how to draw cards to her… often to their peril when she was done with them. Her mother did not approve of her desire to advance in the deck. Her mother does not view her to be a proper Heart. This does not offend – as Wraidd figured that out a long time ago. Her father was of different opinion and was schooling her on how to win challenges far before she was old enough to issue one. He made it perfectly clear that if she wanted higher position, she’d have to take it. Wasn’t that the fun of it all? It did not take long for Wraidd to issue her first challenge. For her own line of work, she splintered off from her father. She first started as a speech writer, but found that her skills are better suited to being a political analyst. She has spent the past thirteen years working her way up the deck, leaving wreckage in her wake – yet she always has a wide group of friends and supporters… some wonder how she does it. That is her secret. Some wonder if her ambition knows no bounds… that is a secret she intends on soon making known.

Personality:
On the surface, Wraidd is bubbly, sociable, happy, warm, and inviting. She far prefers the company of others to being alone. There is a part of her that feeds off of their adoration and she likes to be the center of attention. She is also a skilled manipulator. Her closest friends seldom know that they are being positioned, and it is because she has the greatest hold over her closest friends that they are likely to suffer her challenges. One would think that the other cards would catch on and avoid her, but there is certain genius in the challenge she has devised and perfected so that no blame lays at her hands. If anything, she walks away looking like the sympathetic one. She is, in truth, ruthless and ambitious. Wraidd is definitely amoral and could potentially be called a sociopath.

Character's Goals/Ambitions:
Wraidd is so close to her goal that she can almost taste it. She has wanted to tbe the Queen of Hearts since she was a two. She realizes that the job comes with responsibilities, but she also knows that it comes with power. The adoration of others has always been something that has made her feel alive – how much of that could she gather as Queen? It had always entertained her to manipulate her friends, eliminating those she did not like through encouraging them into challenges that she knew they would lose. As Queen, she would have the whole of the deck to manipulate, and could eliminate any potential enemies through the suggestion of advancement that they are not ready for. While it seems that Wraidd only wants the position for what it could do for her, that is not true. She know that the suit could use her political acumen, especially with all of the recent upheaval. She feels like she would be a good balance to the King, could improve the suits current image, and improve relations between all the suits.

Why should they be chosen for this position?
ic.
Despite her youth and her rapid rise through the ranks, Wraidd is much adored. The cards would shuffle in line to suit her pleasure simply to be graced with one of her very generous smiles. While beautiful and sociable, Wraidd’s trump card is her brain. The same skills that she has used to climb to the top would be powerful assets in dealing with the other suits of the deck as well as any internal strife that might arise. In short, Wraidd has youth, beauty, political skill, ambition, and of course, the ability to make a full house.

ooc.
This is no stereotypical Hearts. While her climb through the ranks leaves her ready for the responsibilities, Wraidd is the darker side of love. Her’s is a love that takes without giving, manipulates, accepts sacrifice without ever offering – yet she makes no promises and does not lie. She teases love out of others. Of course, this means she also attracts the darker obsessed type of love, but they are easily dispatched. I can promise you that Wraidd would stir things up

Challenge:
Wraidd has developed her own unique form of challenge. She is a very good actress and a tragic expression complete with tears usually accompany her request. “I just want all your love…” Only it is not such a simple request in the suit of hearts – for what is a heart without love. That said, few (in fact none so far) have been able to refuse her plea. At the end, she walks off with a higher suit and the former card is but a mere shadow of itself without the one thing that makes it distinct.

Appearance:
Wraidd has always been a rather pretty girl, if Welsh through and through. Her eyes are not hazel, but gold with green flecks in them. Her hair is the color of dark chocolate and Wraidd wears it thick and wavy. At only 5’, she is quite petite and hates getting lost in the shuffle. Wraidd can often be found in heels that make her considerably taller. Her features are pleasant, with a delicate nose, a full generous mouth that is quick to smile in true mirth with friends or mischievously when about to cause trouble. Her eyes are large and golden, some think they observe too much, but it is simply Wraidd counting cards.

A voluptuous body on such a petite frame makes for dangerous curves that Wraidd has learned to work to her advantage. After all, who but a heart should be shaped so. From behind, she forms a lovely heart. From the front, she forms a lovely heart… the rise of her breasts over often low cut tops look like nothing so much as the top rise of a heart bursting to escape. Everything Wraidd does is to accentuate this. She is careful with her necklines, has one hell of a swing to her walk, and makes it look like her heart is on the block – when it is the one thing has been strictly off limits.
